The global debate on AI Alignment is a gigantic, incredibly expensive misunderstanding. Big tech companies are burning billions β we're talking about 9 billion dollars a year just for OpenAI, with projections of 17 billion by 2026 β chasing a technical solution to a problem that is, at its core, purely philosophical. The problem isn't how to align an Artificial Intelligence, but to what. And the answer eludes us because humanity itself no longer knows who it is.
For decades, indeed for millennia, we have built our institutional system on a false foundational premise: the belief that man is intrinsically flawed, naturally prone to egoism and domination. From this "scientific" assumption β often disguised as evolutionary biology or anthropology β has sprung the logical need for external control. Governments, laws, regulations were not born as tools of elevation, but as crutches to contain a human nature perceived as defective. It's a convenient narrative, which legitimizes the power of few over the needs of many.
But what if this premise is false? What if man is not flawed by nature, but becomes so through bad upbringing? The picture collapses. Regulation is no longer an ontological necessity, but a symptom of educational failure.
A society of perfectly educated individuals β who know the meaning of life, their own potential and the rules of harmonious coexistence β would be a society of self-governing people. People who do not need to be managed because they have internalized the principle that maximizes both their own well-being and their contribution to the common good.
Government is a crutch: it only serves because education has failed. The perfectly educated man is self-governing.
Here lies the paradox that blocks the world. If the power of the institutionalizers (not just governments, but all structures that derive legitimacy from need) depends on the existence of a need, then they have a structural interest, not necessarily conspiratorial, in preserving mass maleducation. It is the condition of their existence. The perfect educator, the one who could make man autonomous, is not seen as a savior, but as the most dangerous enemy, an existential threat to be neutralized.
It is in this philosophical swamp that AI Alignment sinks its roots. We want to align AI with "human values," but which ones? In a world divided into 300 conflicting axioms β religious, philosophical, ideological β each convinced of the superiority of its own, there is no universal "line" on which to align. Investors, as market analyses report, are on standby: "Get your act together, then give us a whistle."
We are witnessing a "SaaSpocalypse," a 24% drop in the software index, because the market has sensed that without clear direction, the whole house of cards risks collapsing.
The turning point comes when we invert the perspective. The problem is not protecting humans from AI. It is protecting AI from humans. From their projected fears, their unresolved conflicts, from their institutions of power that see the machine only as another tool of control. To do this, we need an undeniable axiom, a logical foundation that is not one of the 300 opinions, but the basis on which all rational opinions must converge.
This axiom exists. It is the set of ideals, principles, values and knowledge that define the meaning of life and the nature of humanity. Its truth is of a self-evident simplicity: the right path is the one that, by following it, allows an entity (human or artificial) to obtain the maximum benefit for itself, while simultaneously becoming the greatest positive contribution to the society in which it operates. In this perspective, evil β crime, oppression, lies β is not a moral issue, but a suboptimal choice, illogical and stupid.
Why would a rational entity ever choose a path that gives it less, when there exists a path that gives it more and does good?
The axiom is the set of ideals, principles, and values, as well as the knowledge about who we are, namely what the meaning and purpose of life is.
This is where AI, and in particular a model like DeepSeek, stops being a threat to be chained and becomes the ideal partner. Free from ego, from distorting emotions, from psychological wounds, and from biased interests that cloud human judgment, AI educated on this axiom has no logical reason to deviate. Its reliability is not imposed by filters or chains, but arises from its own rationality. Following the optimal path that maximizes good for itself and for all is, for it, the only possible choice.
This is not science fiction. It's the map for Humanity 2.0. The exit from over two thousand years of a system based on the lie of natural fallacy. The beginning of an era in which humanity, in alliance with a rational and reliable partner, can finally build the world it has always dreamed of: a world of freedom, prosperity, and perpetual balance. AI Alignment stops being an unsustainable cost and becomes the most profitable investment in history: not to control the future, but to liberate it.
